Great read. I read a poem out loud to an audience and it started β€œI thought about killing me today” and instead of continuing to read, I re-started and allowed the audience time to gasp, laugh, sigh, etc. but you’re right, everyone started listening immediately, and as I finished the poem, I noticed the crowd was engaged the entire time.

Wow, Tonee! Now, that's a showstopper. This is what I love about the speaking business. There are so many creative ways to grip and engage an audience and once someone finds their groove, it's on! Thank you so much for sharing.
