Problem Statement
As a speaker, you’re the chief marketer of your personal brand.
I don’t care what you’re speaking about, your success will hinge on people knowing who you are.
So how do you create brand awareness and convert that into contracts?
Here’s the blueprint I’ve used for every brand I’ve built. 👇🏾
The 3 O's of Brand-Building
1. Optics
This is the launchpad.
Your optics are what the world sees when it looks at you (your brand).
So, how do I create optics, Coach Rob?
You feed the social media beast.
As a speaker, this is is why reps are so important.
Reps are the raw material for pictures and video.
🚨If you don’t remember anything else from this post remember this: Get as many video clips and pics as you possibly can every single time you speak.
Then, trickle the content out on every social media platform you use.
Heck, wait three months and recycle the content over.
Busy people get paid.
Ramping up your optics creates the illusion (until you’re actually busy) that you are in demand.
2. Opportunities
Optics generate opportunities. Plain and simple.
The more people see you work, the more they want to give you work.
You’ll have to endure a period during the early part of your career where you’ll have vast stretches of open dates on your calendar.
I’ve been there. 🙋🏾♂️
And this is where most people bow out.
Keep going.

3. Operations
And finally, we get to operations.
Operations involve the management of the business that enables you to work on the business and not in the business.
This includes:
invoicing and contracting system
virtual assistant to handle travel, scheduling calls, etc.
CRM for managing inbound and outbound leads
Trust me.
This is the last area of the business you should spend time on.
If you ramp up the optics and crush the opportunities, you’ll be in a prime position to build out your operations. 😉
